Is It Easy to Adjust to University life?
Year after year,a large number of high school student take the entrance college examination and be a freshman.,starting their new life.I hold the opinion that it’s not easy to adjust to university life.
As you know,it will take a long time to adjust yourself to university life for a great many of freshmen.When you enter university,the big challenges are new people,unfamiliar environment,different study style which make you feel confused about.Take me example,i have went through a hard year to adjust to new life.At the beginning of the frist semester,five strangers and me live together in the same dorm.That made me feel uncomfortable.And there was a while that it’s difficult for me to do everything by myself,such as doing laundry.Even i can’t go back home as usual in that time.all of the above made me homesick.And I was missed my family very much.In terms of study,less classes,less homework,but more spare time for me to spend on what I want.So,without self-restraint,much time wasted on computer game,shopping etc.Professor would never teach the same lesson second time or as my high school teacher teach by holding his hand.Generally,there is only one semester for each course.Hence,I have to learn much new knowledge from a thick book in a short time.
I believe that I’m not a in individual case.What I have encountered,it’s a universal phenomenon.Although it’s tough for most of newcomer to adjust university life.There will be a paradise when you come over the big challenge above.Establish a friendship with your roommates,spend precious time on what you really interested and need,do some part-time jobs if you have free time,then you will find university is really colorful and interesting.Therefore,even it’s difficult for most of us to adjust to a new life.maybe university is more fit to you.Just come over all of problems which you got.

Every year many high schools students go to college after
passing college entrance exams,embarking on a new chapter
in their lives.From my experience,adjusting to college life is
not an easy task.I believe many college freshman share the same view.
When you go to university,there are many challenges such
as meeting new people,becoming familiarized with new environment and
new yet confusing learning style .I personally went through
lots of hardships trying to adjust to college.In the beginning of the
first semster,I had to share a dorm room with five strangers with very
little privacy.I could hardly do anything such as doing laundry in private,
which I found very uncomfortable.Being far away from home and surrounded
by strangers made me feel very homesick.
Learning environment in college was also difficult for me to adapt to.
Professors rarely repeat lessons more than once,unlike my high school
teachers taking time to explain everything in detail.In college,we
finish one course in one semester,therefore,we have limited
time to grasp new knowlege from our thick textbooks.Studying
in college takes lots of self discipline,because we have lesser homework and more
spare time.
My experience is not unique.Many college freshmen have gone
through similar phase in college.However,once we overcome
these challeges,life in college can be paradise.Making new friends,
doing things we are interested or taking part-time jobs to earn
money and experience,are bright side of going to college.
College life may be difficult for some to adjust,but it also provides
memorable and invalueable learning adventure.
