(1)首先要说,[若隐若现]的习语,[to partly hidden and partly visible]还是什么其他的,都是[视觉上]的若隐若现,你懂的.loom也是视觉上的,但loom确实有层引申义"(危险、忧虑等)隐隐逼近",是属于比较阴森森的恐怖的那种感觉.
(2)所以词典里查到的"若隐若现"不能用.这一点顶楼上的
[memories come back] 有那个意思了；可以加一个词:模糊的记忆 [vague memories]
(3)个人角度认为这2词比较好:rise,haunt.
rise是偶然浮现; haunt是时常浮现.

[shuffle]可不是"乱翻"而是"翻乱"!
再顶楼上热心网友,go through的意思有"搜查",适用于有目的的"翻",翻别人的包,就可以用这个词.警告语气可说：
Never touch my stuff.
keep your hands off my stuff.
leave my stuff alone.
后两句话在某些语境下也可以表达让别人"不要插手自己的事情."
stuff 就行,things也行.别人的东西就把my换成others'.
